Lukas Heinser<\/a> hat mal wieder ein Epos in Form eines Newsletters rausgeschickt. Wer schon immer wissen wollte, was der ESC mit dem VfL Bochum zu tun hat \u2013 hier entlang<\/a> und abonnieren nicht vergessen.<\/p>\n

Im Newsletter versteckte sich nach 14.000 Zeichen ein Hinweis auf Keith Haring<\/a>, dem K\u00fcnstler, der bei mir in der Pubert\u00e4t daf\u00fcr gesorgt hat, dass ich zum ersten Mal zeitgen\u00f6ssische Kunst f\u00fcr mich entdecken konnte, weil sie wie f\u00fcr mich gemacht war. Er ist bis heute einer meiner Helden, dessen Werke f\u00fcr mich immer noch funktionieren und relevant bleiben.<\/p>\n

Heinser wies auf die Mixtapes des K\u00fcnstlers hin, die anscheinend seit letztem Jahr als Spotify-Playlist<\/a> \u00f6ffentlich sind. Hier<\/a> steht ein bisschen mehr zum Vorgehen des Haring-Archivs:<\/p>\n

\u201eMusic was a significant part of Haring\u2019s creative process, enticed by its ability to convey meaning and social messages, similar to his art. He always played music while creating murals, drawing inspiration from vibrant beats and rhythms. In the 1980s, he was attracted to the burgeoning hip-hop and breakdancing scene, which led to the incorporation of dancing figures in his art. However, Haring had a varied music taste, blasting anything from new wave to disco and classical music. He associated closely with many musicians and DJs, such as Grace Jones, Madonna, and DJ Juan Dubose, who were huge influences on his art. […]<\/p>\n

The Keith Haring Archives have digitised many of the artist\u2019s mixtapes between 1983 and 1988, giving fans a greater look at the music that shaped his art and life. It showcases his eclectic taste and love for artists such as Prince, ESG, Aretha Franklin, Van Morrison, Kool & The Gang, Igor Stravinsky, Sylvester and Chaka Khan, to name just a few.\u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Genau hier ist nat\u00fcrlich eine gute Gelegenheit, auf eine Ausstellung im Museum Brandhorst hinzuweisen, die am 28. Juni er\u00f6ffnet wird: Andy Warhol & Keith Haring: Party of Life<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201eMit \u201eAndy Warhol & Keith Haring. Party of Life\u201c pr\u00e4sentiert das Museum Brandhorst die weltweit erste umfassende institutionelle Ausstellung, die sich den beiden K\u00fcnstlern widmet. Der Titel der Schau ist dem Motto von Keith Harings Geburtstagsfeiern entlehnt: \u201eParty of Life\u201c erz\u00e4hlt vom Kosmos der 1980er-Jahre, von MTV, Discos, Voguing, Hip-Hop, New Wave und Graffiti. In diesem Umfeld zeichnet die Ausstellung die K\u00fcnstlerfreundschaft der beiden nach. Dabei offenbart sie Parallelen in ihrem k\u00fcnstlerischen Selbstverst\u00e4ndnis, ihrer Offenheit f\u00fcr Kooperation und gemeinschaftliche Projekte sowie ihrer inklusiven Haltung: Kunst und ihre Botschaften sollten m\u00f6glichst viele Menschen erreichen.\u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
