Mich abends \u00fcber das Wiedersehen mit F. gefreut, der ein paar Tage weg war und mir nat\u00fcrlich etwas mitbrachte: ein Buch \u00fcber <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fritz_Todt\">Fritz Todt<\/a> (mit diversen Autobahn-Quellen, die ich noch nicht kannte!) und einen Berg Macarons, an dem ich mich heute \u00fcberfressen werde.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Irgendwann am fr\u00fchen Nachmittag leichtsinnig einen Tweet in die Welt geschickt, der mir dann total entglitten ist. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ankegroener\/status\/1102548082909163521\">Lesen Sie selbst<\/a>, wobei Sie sich zwischen diversen Antwortstr\u00e4ngen entscheiden k\u00f6nnen. (Happy birthday, Omi!)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ankegroener.de\/blog\/..\/Bilder\/Ankes-Einschulung.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"795\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31351\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Dann den kapitalen Fehler gemacht, eine HBO-Dokumentation zum Fall Michael Jackson zu schauen, die in der NYT sehr gut besprochen wurde \u2013 auch in Bezug auf den Reviewer, der selbst Fan war.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/02\/28\/arts\/television\/michael-jackson-leaving-neverland.html\">Michael Jackson Cast a Spell. \u2018Leaving Neverland\u2019 Breaks It.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eIf the average cultural experience demands the suspension of disbelief, if we oughtn\u2019t think too much about this movie we\u2019re watching, this novel we\u2019re reading, this magic trick being performed right before our eyes, if being entertained means setting aside skepticism, logic and possibly a sense of morality, then what a magic trick we had in Michael Jackson.<\/p>\n<p>He lived in defiance of physics and race and gender, and we just kind of lived with that. We ate it up. Just the odyssey of his nose from bulb to nub seemed somehow like a people\u2019s journey. For so long, so much about Michael Jackson won our awe, our pity, our bewilderment, our identification, our belief that he was a metaphor, an allegory, a beacon, a caveat \u2014 for, of, about America. You need to do a lot of looking at him to feel this way. You also need to do a lot of looking the other way.<\/p>\n<p>But, eventually, all the suspension reaches a logical end. You run out of hooks to hang things on. There\u2019s a moment in \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=R_Ze8LjzV7Q\">Leaving Neverland<\/a>,\u201d Dan Reed\u2019s documentary about Jackson\u2019s alleged pedophilia, where I simply ran out of hooks.\u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Die Michael-Jackson-Fans haben schon vor der Ausstrahlung zur Social-Media-Gegenwehr <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/03\/04\/arts\/music\/michael-jackson-leaving-neverland-fans.html\">aufger\u00fcstet<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Auf ein Briefing gewartet, am Expos\u00e9 rumgepuschelt, Pizza gegessen.
